OSU KIDSPIRIT
MARKETING|PRINT DESIGN|SOCIAL MEDIA
OVERIEW
I have worked at KidSpirit on OSU Campus for over 3 years, and am their lead marketing staff member. I work with a team of 2-4 other creatives, and together we create all advertising materials for KidSpirit. The KidSpirit look and feel is very participant focused. We highlight the programs and the children in them. KidSpirit utilizes Positive Youth Development into their curriculum and prioritizes staff development making them a valuable part of OSU, through my designs I work to portray the quality and impact of the organization.
The process to create these pieces includes lots of planning, and campaign specific branding. The pieces shown span across multiple years, but each represent an individual program session and a focused branding plan. Much of my job is spend planning out Social media, advertisements, and print materials campaigns and roll-out scheduling, working together to ensure all assets are cohesive and complete in a timely manner. Below are some select materials I've created for KidSpirit in the past 3 years.
SUMMER 2026
Below are some of the deliverables created to advertise KidSpirit's 2026 Summer Programs. Shown below is the Summer Program postcard. The main objective was to show the wide-range of activities KidSpirit offers to a wide-range of ages these programs are available too.
Also included is an advertisement printed in 'MOM Magazine' a local, Oregon based magazine catered to families. The advertisement was created to have the same look and feel as the postcard and other Summer materials.
ASSORTED POSTERS
A new series of posters and advertisements are created for each session of KidSpirit programming. These posters are used to advertise each individual program and KidSpirit as a whole. Each series of posters has a unique look and feel, while remaining on-brand. Below are some of the posters I created for seasonal programs and hiring.
KIDSPIRIT SOCIAL MEDIA
KidSpirit social media highlights participants and staff alike as they grow and thrive in KidSpirit programs. Social media platforms are utilized to show parents what their child does each day at KidSpirit, the skills they are gaining, and all the fun they are having. Below are two examples of social media posts I created for the organization.
SUMMER 2025 BROCHURE
Each Summer KidSpirit sends out a brochure with all the information families will need to know before sending their child to camp. Below is the brochure made with me as the primary designer. It encompasses the look and feel of KidSpirit marketing, and is able to fit mass amounts of information while remaining fun and on-brand.
PHOTOGRAPHY SUMMER 2024
Photography is a major aspect of KidSpirit marketing, it is essential to take photos where participants are engaged and having fun to best highlight KidSpirit programs. Below are some photos I took during the Summer of 2024 which capture the essence of KidSpirit programming.
DAM PROUD DAY
Dam Proud Day is an annual fundraiser across OSU Campus. Below are materials created to show the range of activities and 'challenges' KidSpirit does on that day. In 2024 KidSpirit raised over $60,000 for youth participant scholarships, in 2025 they raised over $80,000. For both of these years I acted as the marketing lead. I was responsible for planning out the marketing, social media, and print campaigns both years, and created any of the assets myself, including the ones seen below. In 2025 KidSpirit received a marketing award for 'Best Stewardship Strategy'.
DIGITAL SIGNAGE
For each session of KidSpirit programming we create a series of digital advertisements to be displayed on screens across OSU campus. Below are a select few I designed, the signs each have a distinct look and feel which ties in with the sessions overall branding look.
PROCESS
To market KidSpirit it is essential to understand the many aspects of the organization. The organization caters to all-ages, and offers a wide range of programs. It isn't just a youth programming agency, KidSpirit's mission also is to help their staff develop professionally. The whiteboards below show the end results of a brainstorming session the KidSpirit marketing team conducted to help us better understand everything our marketing materials needed to encompass.
