CREATIVE CONNECTS CAMPAIGN
BRAND IDENTITY GUIDELINES|BRAND SYSTEM DESIGN
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Creative Connects was a term-long campaign branding project done in the OSU Flux class with the mentorship of Lindsey Charlet, CEO of HUB Collective in Portland, Oregon. For this project other student designers and myself created the branding for the Creative Connects Campaign. This campaign was for the Portland branch of the AIGA.  Together, we created a series of interviews with industry professionals made to inspire young students to go into the graphic design field. We created the branding, brand guide, logo, interview series, and other graphic elements for the campaign. I was responsible for the creation of the brand guide, as well as contributing to the ideation phases within the design process.
Programs Utilized: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Premiere Pro
Design Team: Ashton Bisner, Hope Stephens, Ellie Counts, Becca Harmonson, Avery Trivers, Allie Webb-Bowen
FINAL DELIVERABLES|MY CONTRIBUTIONS
My primary role within this project, past the ideation phase was the creation of the Creative Connects branding guide. The slides embody the brand through their design, and explain its constraints and elements through their content.
FINAL DELIVERABLES
Other final deliverables for the Creative Connects campaign include a series of full-time videos. These videos feature interviews with local, industry professionals, with the intent of inspiring young students to pursue a career and/or degree in Graphic Design. The interviews also act as a template which can be used for future videos created for this campaign.
PROCESS|MY CONTRIBUTIONS
The process of this project was a collaborative one. Each member of our team created a 'style tile' with a potential direction for the brand. Mine below was an 'optical' take on the brand, a reference to the A'I'GA, meant to be bold and eye-catching. A came up with a draft for a potential logo continuing the eye theme. My style tile also includes a look at how the branding could be taken into the video with an introduction slide.
